Lots of trees in bloom these days. Here is a Pink Lapacho (Tabebuia impetiginosa) more commonly know as a pink trumpet tree, originally a native of South America, now in full bloom all over Los Angeles. I took the picture just after noon on Maltman Ave. which would almost qualify it for tomorrow's photo contest sponsored by the Arts & Culture committee of the Silver Lake Neighborhood Council. The contest requires a photo taken at hi-noon on Saturday March 21, in and around Silver Lake. Photos will be exhibited at a later date.
